The Bowman Block was an existing 7-storey brick garment factor, built of brick and timber in 1907. Salient redeveloped the building, keeping the original fir floors and adding 2 modern storeys.

There are 38 residential loft style homes in this modern warehouse conversion and one commercial retail space. The modern intervention features interior design by Alda Pereira and architecture by Gair Williamson. New construction atop the original building make up the sub-penthouses, penthouses and rooftop urban oasis that includes an outdoor fireplace and built-in barbecue. The rest of the homes consist of single level flats and double-height lofts in the original building finished to the same high standard.

The Bowman Block was completed in February 2007.  The project received a Heritage Conservation Award of Merit from the City of Vancouver in 2009.  It was also received an Award of Excellence for “Best Revitalization, Renovation or Heritage” from the Urban Development Institute in 2007.
